Boosting Email Deliverability
- Ensure your domain has not been blacklisted at MxToolbox
- Check your web reputation at Cisco Talos and/or SenderScore
- Set up your technical configuration (SPF, DKIM, & DMARC)
- Keep bounce rates under 5% by pre-validating email lists (email validation services)
- Limit volume per sender per day
- Spread email sending throughout the day
- Don’t send spammy emails.
- Limit the use of HTML
- Avoid spam trigger words (test at mailmeteor)
- Limit use of tracking links
- Set up secondary domains for sending sales emails but follow the rules above to ensure you don’t ‘burn’ them; adjacent “burner” domains are better than subdomains
- Marketing should also use separate secondary domains
